Ontario Regulated Online Casinos in 2026: Check bet365, Betano and Other Sites

A practical guide to using iGaming Ontario’s live directory and distinguishing provincial regulation from a brand’s licence elsewhere.

Which online casino sites are regulated in Ontario?
The most reliable starting point is iGaming Ontario's regulated-market directory, not an affiliate ranking or an advertisement claiming a “Canada licence.” The directory lists gaming sites offered by operators contracted with iGaming Ontario and distinguishes casinos, sports betting and poker offerings. The official page consulted for this article lists 49 operators and 84 gaming websites, while also displaying a data-date notice. Because sites can enter or leave the market, the live directory should be checked at the time of publication and before relying on a specific listing.

How Ontario's framework works
Ontario's regulated internet gaming market involves the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) as regulator and iGaming Ontario (iGO) in the conduct-and-management structure for regulated operators. Except for the separately operated OLG.ca arrangement, a commercial operator generally needs the relevant AGCO registration and an operating agreement with iGO. These are distinct requirements; a press release or a licence from another jurisdiction does not substitute for Ontario participation.

Are Betano and bet365 regulated in Ontario?
The iGO directory examined on 27 October 2026 includes listings for Betano and Bet365 in casino and/or sports-betting categories. A reader should still compare the exact operator name, product category and domain shown in the directory with the site they intend to investigate. A familiar logo on a similarly named URL is not proof that every version of a brand is regulated in Ontario. This article reports the directory's listing, not a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or endorsement.

How to verify a site in five checks
1. Open the official iGaming Ontario regulated-market directory.

2. Search the brand name, then review the legal operator and offered product category.

3. Match the specific domain you are examining, rather than the brand alone.

4. Confirm the site's own legal footer identifies the correct Ontario arrangements; look for iGO and BetGuard branding, but do not rely on logos without the official listing.

5. Check whether the directory entry is current and whether the operator has issued an exit, maintenance or availability notice.

Keep the date of your check with the link. Someone finding an archived 2024 review in 2026 should not assume the information remained unchanged.

Who can legally use regulated Ontario services?
The iGO directory states customers must be 19 or older and physically located in Ontario to place wagers. Being a Canadian citizen, holding an Ontario billing address or having opened an account in the province is not enough if you are presently outside the province. Account access and wagering access are different questions addressed separately in the iGO FAQ.

Why does regulation matter for a consumer?
Regulated operators are subject to Ontario standards on fairness, responsible gambling and consumer protection. However, regulated status is not a promise of winnings, immediate withdrawals or an absence of commercial risk. Players still need to understand account terms, identity checks, deposit limits, support processes and complaint routes. An unregulated site creates additional uncertainty about oversight, payments and recourse.

What if a listed brand disappears?
Check the directory again. iGO's FAQ notes that a site previously listed but no longer available may have exited Ontario; operators are expected to contact affected players about required actions. Do not infer a brand's continued authorisation from an outdated screenshot. If your balance is outstanding, use the operator's support process and iGO's player-support route.

FAQ
Is an international licence enough for Ontario? No; confirm the operator through Ontario's own framework and current directory.

Are Betano and bet365 available to every Canadian resident? A listing in Ontario does not establish permission in other provinces.

Does a casino with an iGO logo automatically pass verification? A logo alone can be copied. Match the actual site to the directory.

Does being 19+ allow betting while travelling? Not if you are physically outside Ontario; the province's location rule still applies.
